Function of the department

The function of ENT Department are as follows:
  1. Clinical Service: Clinical services provided by the department include:
    • Running of Out-Patient Clinics
    • In-Patient Management (on the wards)
    • Emergency Services
    • Theatre Procedures
    • Community Services
    • Audiological services - hearing assessment for both adult and children
    • Hearing aids trials/prescription
  2. Training: The department is actively involved in training:
    • Medical students from the University of Jos
    • Resident Doctors
    • Doctors rotating in the department from other departments
    • Other ad-hoc teachings for some programmes in the hospital e.g. CHO Programme
  3. Research: Research is carried out by the clinical staff of the department (Consultants/Residents Doctors).
